Docking toolbars on the side (vertically)

Hi, is there any way to dock toolbars onto the sides of the window? I cant do it in the normal way (grab and drop).
I know that is possible in previous versions of Firefox, but I cant do it on your latest version...
I'm still using v 4.3, and the only thing that is still making me holding to it is that little problem.
Given nowadays the absurd standard screen format, vertical space is something precious, and the ability to dock the toolbars vertically is very important.
