How do I disable Auto-Opening of the PDF after downloading?

During this last install, I did this:
[un-check] Show PDF files in browsers
    [un-check] Enable Safe Reading Mode

I don't think it used to auto-open them.

If I go to . . . Edit / Preferences / Trust Manager / [check] Enable Safe Reading Mode . . . this does not change it

I un-checked "Show PDFs in browsers," because the toolbars aren't there . . . I think this might be what's causing it, so a re-install is necessary.

Summary: I don't want to see PDFs in the browser, I first want them to download to desktop so I can scan for viruses . . I think it's a good idea to scan some PDFs before opening them.

Is there anything to worry about? Can a virus get into a PDF? Or am I ok as it?

      Hi sludge705x,

If you don't want the PDF document to be opened directly after downloading, you may right-click on the PDF download access then click on 'Save Target as'.
To prevent the virus, you may open Foxit Reader->go under 'File'->'Preferences'->'Trust Manager'->tick 'Enable Safe Reading Mode'.
