The pop up note should get focus by design. Did you use mouse to highlight? After highlighting, did you click anything or tap the touch pad unintentionally?
Since you are using an old version and the issue could not be replicated on our end, could you please help to use latest version and see if you has the same problem with latest version?

Popup note boxes do not automatically gain focus after using comment tools
I am using FoxIt Reader Version: 9.0.1.1049. When I use a comment tool such as "Replace Text" by clicking its icon and then highlighting the text to replace, the popup note does not automatically gain focus and have the cursor in it where I can just start typing. I am using a laptop and every time I use this tool, I have to go to the touch pad, go over to the popup note, and click in it before I can start typing. This is time consuming and a bit frustrating. Is there an option I can change to correct this, or is there something I am doing wrong? Thanks for any help!
