Sorry for the problem. I've escalated the issue to Foxit internal bug tracking system for QA and Dev engineer's further investigation. Report ID#: MACLNX-1787.

gibarian Foxit does not support Debian system for now, and our team will evaluate the requirement when developing Foxit Reader for Linux. Thanks.

Well, it used to, Foxit worked on my two former Debian based distros. But thanks for the absolutely rude response. I will print this as a reminder to never use or recommed your software. Thanks.

Sorry again for any hassle or the inconvenience this issue caused. We appreciate your detailed feedback and you sharing your thoughts with us that it could be a QT problem. Your feedback is valuable and helpful to improve our product. According to current company strategy, the existing Foxit Reader for Linux has already been discontinued and our Dev team have stopped implementing any new features/capabilities or releasing new version that includes the fix of non-security bugs for the existing Foxit Reader for Linux for now.
But I have submitted your request to our product management team and suggest our Dev team to develop a brand-new version of Foxit PDF Reader which could support Debian system better and support more Linux system in the future.

For now, as a possible workaround, you may also try with the Foxit PDF Editor Cloud which requires no installation. We could use it as long as we have a browser installed, in regardless of the OS you're using.

Hope info above helps. Please feel free to update to us if you have any further concern. Thank you again for your kind understanding.
