  • Default Printer FoxitReader 6.0.5 on Terminal Server 2008

    Good morning,

We have some trouble with the default printer in Foxit Reader with a few users.
At those users Foxit does not give the default printer in the print screen, but it shows the default printer of the Administrator.

    What helps is the following:

    - Delete the default printer from the users session
    - Add the printer just deleted and then in Foxit the right printer is selected.

After this action it will be ok for the remaining time they are logged in to the system.

I have tried giving the users new Profiles but that to did not fix the problem.
If I check the default printer for the users in the registry entry for Foxit it gives me the correct printer.
Different Terminal servers do not give different results, for those affected users it will always show the wrong printer.

    Environment:

Windows Server 2008 (Latest Updates) Terminal Server 64Bit.
Foxit Reader Version 6.0.5.618 with Chinese Language Support
Printers are Ricoh MPC3300 and MP6001.

    Gr,

    Robbert

Issue with the default printer not being respected by the reader is unresolved. Foxit Reader picks a random printer as the default. This is a killer bug and prevents the reader from being used at the corporate level.

Hi mCarlson, Please help to provide the following info:
        1. Is the client default printer or the default printer on server side that cannot be recognized?
        2. How the users access/logon to Citrix server?
        3. How did you set up the default printer?
        4. If possible, please record a small video that shows how the default printer cannot be recognized;
        5) Version info of your Foxit Reader.
