  • Foxit reader consums CPU at background

    I opened 3 pdf files, and left the foxit reader at background. The foxit reader consumed about 3~10% CPU continuously. Any idea about what the reader is doing? WIn10 + foxit reader 9.50.1.33880.

    maorui2k Please try to delete this folder "C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Foxit Software" and see if it helps. Please also go to "File"->"Preferences'->"General"->check "Disable ConnectedPDF features (Restarting application is recommended)" and see if it helps.
    If not, I would encourage you to perform a fresh re-installation of Foxit PhantomPDF 9.4.1 and see if it helps:
    1) Please make sure you've closed all Foxit reader related programs (IE, Firefox...) then go to "Control Panel"->"Add/Remove Programs" to uninstall Foxit reader;
    Go to "Start"->"Run"-> input regedit -> find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Foxit Software\ Foxit reader 9.0" and "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Foxit Software\ Foxit reader 9.0" to delete the whole folder of Foxit reader 9.0;
    2) Install the latest version 9.4.1 of Foxit reader.Please download the installer from the link below:
    http://cdn09.foxitsoftware.com/produ...etup_Clean.exe
    Finally, please give the new installation a try and let us know the result. Thanks
