Text select is not available

Hi all,

I am using the latest foxit reader, but the text selection is not working. I cannot figure out why. I tried Adobe, it worked.

Hi Aaron,

The reason why you can not select or copy from PDF's could be as following:
1) Document restrictions:You can open the document, go to 'File'->'Properties'->'Security' to check if 'Extract the contents of the document' is allowed;
2) Scanned PDF document: If the document is a scanned copy which contains image object only, then it should be OCRed (Optical Character Recognition) first to make the text recognizable and selectable.
BTW, the OCR feature is included in Foxit PhantomPDF Standard and Business Edition. You can download a copy from our website and give it a try.
