  • How can I write comments in PDF files using a graphics tablet?

I have the XP-PEN graphics tablet G640S and would like to do freehand drawings and comments in my PDFs.
When I use Foxit Readers pen feature I can make freehand drawings with my mouse. If I use the tablet for this, nothing happens (no line is drawn).
    Any suggestions?

Sorry for the trouble. May I have the version of Foxit Reader you use and your system version, like win7 64-bit?

Please open Foxit Reader, go to File>Preferences>Tablet, uncheck the option"Enable pressure sensitive", click on OK to see if it helps.

Check with the vendor / manufacturer site to see if it is compatible with Adobe Reader.

How you check, you should be able to use some markup devices, such as a line, with a touch screen, a touch pad and a mouse. You can write with these devices if you can draw them carefully.

Thanks for the response. Im using Windows 8.1 64-bit with Foxit Reader Version 9.7.0.29455. The problem solved itself, I don't know what the cause was. I have updated the Foxit Reader in the meantime, maybe that solved the problem. I found it helpful to disable the "Enable pressure sensitive" function, because Foxit Reader is much more pressure sensitive than other programs (e.g. Word) and draws the drawn lines quite thickly even with relatively weak pressure. Thanks for the help, I will contact you here if I encounter problems again.

Personally, I use Foxit Reader for annotation and reading. you could just turn off pressure senstivity.or just make it harder to change pressure levels, you get accustomed to it pretty quick.

I use a XP-Pen Star G640 graphic drawing tablet at home for videos , and for online teaching (with OneNote , whiteboard app...keeping it simple) , digital writing and note taking.

Thanks for your update. The XP-Pen writing problem has already been reported to Foxit internal bug tracking system for processing. We should fix it in the future. For now, to work around the problem, we could go to "File"->"Preferences"->"Tablet" to uncheck "Enable pressure senstive".
