  • Navigation with vertical scrollbar, page display updates in real time

    Ahoy!
In an old version of Foxit Reader there was a feature that would update the displayed page only after I released the mouse button when dragging the vertical scroll bar to any position. Before releasing the mouse button, the displayed page would stay the one that I was reading before I touched the scroll bar.
In the current version (9.7,1) the page display updates in real time wich uses system performance. I would rather only have the small preview along with the page number that you have anyway next to the vertical scrollbar when you are in "single page" view instead of also having the pages flicker through all the time and having to wait for them to load.
Is there an option or a registry entry where I could change this back to the old setting or is this completely disabled by the new version of Foxit Reader?
Best regards and thank you for any help!

Quichybo ,Thanks for using Foxit Reader.I am sorry that currently there is not any way to make Foxit Reader to not update the displayed page in real time when navigate with vertical scrollbar. According to your request,I have submitted the suggestion "Add a switch in Foxirt Reader for user's choice to make Foxit Reader to update the displayed page only after user released the mouse button when dragging the vertical scrol bar to any position" to our product management team's reference with suggestion ID#PHANTOM-14396.

Thank you for your quick reply,
since it is already quite customizable, I think you can never go wrong by adding another option. I like switches.
It is nice to have the feeling that someone understood what I meant. Google only gave me suggestions how to set page display to "continuous" or "facing", but that was not what I meant.
Thanks again. Maybe this option could be under "system resource / energy saving management" along with other options that would make Foxit Reader run smoother on older devices or a given battery last longer.
I'm looking forward to a potential new version with the addition that will make me even happier.
