Issue saving altered copies of pdfs

Hi, I recently experienced an issue where I was making changes to a pdf and when I returned to the 6 saves I made, only 3 of them had actually saved. I followed the same process for all 6 and even reopened them that night to make sure they had saved. It was the next day and only 3 had saved correctly. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I downloaded Foxit Reader just a couple days ago because Adobe wouldn't let me save anything.
