  • Bug Notes/Sticky Notes Not Saving Text Formatting/New Lines

    Hello,

This is a re-post to ensure my question is in the proper area of the Forum (originally posted here).

I am utilizing Foxit Version: 11.1.0.52543 and I am experiencing the same bug as described in a previous Forum Post, but in regards to the notes/sticky notes functionality. A way to mimic this is if you create a note and add text, then newlines, and then more text, save file, close the file/reopen, and view the note, all newlines will be removed and only text/spaces will remain. This also has been removing any formatting in a note that was generated from another PDF viewer and already existed in the file.

Also seeing the same issue, and looking forward to a fix.
Additionally, it affects the Typewriter tool - newlines accepted & displayed while typing disappear.
      PDF Editor Pro v. 11.1.0.52543.

I'm having an issue where I create multiple lines of text with the typewriter tool but trying to edit the text later removes all line breaks and changes the size of the container. Is this the same or a different issue? After right clicking and choosing "close all pop ups" my issue went away.

Paul F. ,The situation you mentioned is not the same as the issue that other customers mentioned in this forum thread. For the situation "All the line breaks in the textbox/typewriter are lost." you mentioned is a known issue (report ID# QCPHANTOM-28638) in version 11.1 of Foxit PDF Editor/Reader, it has already been rectified in Foxit PDF Editor V11.2.0 . And we will also fix this issue in the next release version of Foxit PDF Reader.
For your current workaround, you may choose to downgrade your Foxit PDF Reader to V10 for getting around the issue. Please click here to download Foxit Reader V10.

We don't have the version 10 for on Mac. Could you please describe the issue you encountered on Mac in detail so we could better understand and forward to my team for further investigation, thank you.

I think it is pretty much the same as described above by windows users. When I write a note on a pdf with breaklines and I then scroll down the pdf (so the note is not displayed on the current view of the pdf), if I scroll back up in order to see the note again, the breaklines have been removed and the whole note is displayed as a single line.
Let me know if this is clear enough or if you need more information, thank you!
