    Hi Roy,
    I understand all that.
My question is simply: Isn't that exactly what I wrote on September 27? Did either of you even read my post, or did you just look at the video?

Jos has indicated the point that you had slightly moved the annotation, so program recognized it as a new change. That's why you saw the asterisk. You can compare the images from Joe and you will see the difference.

Thanks for the VIDEOCLIP, when viewing it I can see that when you click on the annotation, your mouse slightly moved the annotation.I took two screenshots and you can see from them the slightly differences. FYI

I'm using Foxit PDF Reader version 12.0.1.12430.
Note: that's "Reader" not "Editor" as you wrote. This is the Foxit PDF Reader forum, after all.

I created the GIF as you requested. It showed the same behavi--no, the asterisk appeared before I copied the annotation! Watching the GIF more closely, I see what happened: I ever so slightly moved the annotation as I selected it. And that, of course, is a change.

    Sorry for the false alarm.

Can you please provide us version info by go to help menu->about Foxit PDF Editor ? And record .GIF videoclip with attached LICECAP ?

I test with the operations you said copy annotation to paste in another document , but the asterisk did not appear in original document.FYI

I hesitate to call this a bug in the software, but it's certainly strange.
I have added some annotations to a PDF document, and saved it.
I copy one of those annotations to paste in another document. Suddenly the asterisk appears in the tab for the original document, indicating that the latest change has not been saved. But nothing changed!
