  • Drawing a box does not work

When I try to draw a box, say to surround something, or completely block something out, it works as expected... until I lift the mouse button. Then it disappears.
Following the same procedure, I can draw lines and ovals, and they work as expected.

        Hi Joe,
Ah yes, it was the opacity setting. Putting it to 100 makes the box stay. Thank-you!
But now that raises another issue: how do I make a box where the interior is clear, so that I can see what is underneath? In other words, the outline of the box has 100% opacity, but the inside of the box has 0% opacity. When I choose the fill colour as "No colour," I would expect the fill to be clear or empty. Instead the fill is solid white, completely covering whatever is beneath the box.
