    Hi sjm666cn,

    Could you please help provide the following info?
    1) Did it occur to any PDF document or just a particular? If happens to particular one, please send us a copy of the PDF document for testing purpose;
    2) Can it be replicated every time you perform the same?
    3) The crashlog.txt and crash.dmp file that located in the installation folder of Foxit Reader;
    4) Your OS info. (E.g. Win7, 32-bit or 64-bit)

      I have the same problem with Foxit Reader 6.2.0.0429 on Windows 8.1 Update 1. Foxit Reader crashes as soon as I select the File menu. I have downloaded Reader on two different occasions and uninstalled/reinstalled it several times. The result is the same each time.

      1-Reader does not crash on any particular PDF. It crashes even if no PDF is loaded, as soon as I select the File menu.
      2-The behavior replicates each and every time I choose the File menu.
      3- Each time Reader crashes it asks to send crash dump information to Foxit, and each time it has crashed I agreed to this. In all I have sent eight (8) crash submissions to Foxit. I have yet to hear back
      4-My OS is Windows 8.1 Pro Update 1 x64.

      For now I am staying with Reader 6.1.4.0217. Can you help?

        @BullgogX,

        Do you have a ticket number of your submit? I'll take a look at it and further check the processing of it with our QA team. Thank you.

          Reader's crash submission utility doesn't provide a ticket number. I would have to install 6.2 (which removes 6.1), crash, look for a dump file in AppData, then remove 6.2 and reinstall 6.1.

            Reader's crash utility doesn't provide a ticket number. I would need to install 6.2 (which removes 6.1), crash, look in AppData for a crash log, then remove 6.2 and reinstall 6.1.

            Event Viewer errors all concern FoxitCloud:

            "The Foxit Cloud Safe Update Service service is marked as an interactive service. However, the system is configured to not allow interactive services. This service may not function properly."

            and

            "The Foxit Cloud Safe Update Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s)."

              @BullgogX,

              Thanks for your kind update. Next time, when the crash occurs, could you please send us the event viewer error and the crashlog.txt and crash.dmp that located in the installation folder of Foxit Reader? (By default it is located in "C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader")

              What about the result if you uninstall Foxit Cloud Reading from "Control Panel"->"Add/Remove Programs"? Thank you in advance.

                Prior to reading your post - and because this board wouldn't publish anything I wrote - I re-installed Reader 6.2 for the purpose of creating a crash. Reader presented a dialog box asking me to send all the crash details to Foxit, which I did. No ticket number provided. The dialog asked for my email address so Foxit could get back to me. No reply yet. Back to 6.1.
