Feature search function not working!?

Greetings

Trying to search a word via 'find text' and the following message appears

-foxit reader has finished searching the document. no matches found-
and 'text viewer' not working either

What can be done to activate the function???

Please make sure the file is not scanned pdf file, scanned file is displayed as image objects, and only the text objects can be searched.

I'm having the same issue, although my documents are not scanned.

I'm downloading files from hud.gov--I believe they are HTML?? I print to PDF but am not able to search them with Foxit and get the same message as the original poster.

Any ideas?

Hi randynavarro,

I guess the html page is recognized as an image when print to PDF document, that's why the text is not recognized. I encourage you to apply the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) first to the PDF document in Foxit PhantomPDF Standard or Business to make the text searchable. Please let us know if the OCR feature helps.
