  • Feedback Please don't install bundled up software without permission while updating!

When I say update, just update!

Please don't bundle your and other third-part softwares with updates and stuff them on me!

Mobogenie and Foxit cloud got installed without my permission. Down will they go the drain!

Terribly disappointed with you Foxit! Disabling automatic update!

If Foxit continues to do this, I'll quit it and will also campaign in the social media against it for my friends knowledge.

Other rubbish too gets installed without user's permission. Foxit installed OpenCandy when I installed the latest version on 8 May 2014. When I switched on my computer on 9 May 2014, I got a pop-up message from Windows 8.1 saying "There is a folder on your computer called C:\Program which could cause certain applications not to function correctly." I uninstalled Foxit, Foxit Cloud and OpenCandy. However the C;\Program folder, though now empty, could not be re-named or deleted and Windows 8.1 continued to give me the pop-up message "There is a folder on your computer called C:\Program which could cause certain applications not to function correctly." every time my computer was started and would not allow me to rename or delete the C:\Program folder. I finally deleted it by booting in safe mode.

Hi guys, We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. I'll forward your feedback and experience to our market development team for references and evaluating. Feedback ID#: PMWQ-668. The bundled third party software will not harm your system, but provide you with an offer of a third party product. And they are not mandatory to be installed. In the process of installing Foxit Reader, you shall have an Offer Screen which allows you to Accept or Reject the bundled tool, and you can un-check the option to choose not to install the recommended tool.

If to uninstall the third-party software, you can go to "Control Panel"->"Add/Remove Programs".
Again sorry for this difficulty and Thanks for your kind understanding.

Yes! This got me in big trouble at work - identified as malware - http://malwaretips.com/blogs/search-...virus-removal/ - which they take *very* seriously at work! Can't use Foxit now.
