crash Format Error: Not a pdf or corrupted - if attached to email via Thunderbird

I received a pdf as an attachment to an email sent to an gmail address.
This attachment opens in foxit reader if I go to the gmail website and click on the attachment there.

However, if I open Thunderbird and then click on the attachment I get the error message 'format error: not a pdf or corrupted'.
I get the same message if I try and save the attachment from Thunderbird to the desktop and open it from there.

If I open Foxit Reader, the pdf file is listed and will open - I assume it is in the document list from when I opened it from gmail.

I am using Foxit Reader version 5.1.4.01.04 and Thunderbird 11.0.1

Are there any known issues between Foxit 5.1 and Thunderbird 11?

1.How does the sender send you the file as attachment?Using outlook email client or other email client?
2.Would you mind sending us the file as attachment to [email protected] so we could have a further testing?
