How to open ePub with Foxit Reader?

Hi guys,

is it possible to open ePub with Foxit Reader? Is there an add-on or plug-in? I know you would use Foxit Reader Intel Education for ePubs but it's kind of a lean version of Foxit Reader and I won't use it.

Sorry that currently Foxit Reader doesn't support to open ePub documents. We've already added it to the to-do list of Foxit Reader. Suggestion ID#: READER-46.

Sorry for the late update. Foxit Reader has supported to open ePub documents since version 8.0. You may download it and give it a try. But Foxit PhantomPDF doesn't support to open ePub documents since the plugin has not yet been bundled into it. Thank you.

When I try to open an epub file with Foxit the following message popus up:

Foxit Reader does not support this file format. Please open the file directly and print it with the Foxit Reader printer.

I'm using version 9.7. So, this must mean it doesn't support epub files. But you say it does.

The ePub plugin has been removed since version 9.7. If you'd like to like open the ePub file directly, then you may email to [email protected] to a version prior to version 9.7. Thank you.

We use Foxit Reader 8.3.1.21155 but also aren't able to open epub files,
if this was removed in 9.7 (why remove a feature?) then why doesn't it work in 8.3 when it was added in 8.0?

Klaus_ventis Thanks for your response.We have added epub plugin only for English, Chinese-Simplified and Japanese versions of Foxit Reader before,the Epub plugin in Foxit Reader supports Epub v1 and Epub V2 version documents,it can not open Epub V3 documents.
For English version of Foxit Reader,it starts to support opening epub files from V8.1.
For Simplified Chinese version of Foxit Reader,it starts to support opening epub files from V8.0.
For Simplified Japanese version of Foxit Reader,it starts to support opening epub files from V8.3.
Please try to install the Version 9.6 of Foxit Reader (English) from the link below and then try to open epub documents (Epub V1 or Epub V2 ,not Epub V3)on your part to see if it could be opened:

Due to some bugs and the number of people who have used the epub feature in Foxit Reader is relatively low,so this epub plugin was removed since V9.7 of Foxit Reader.

Foxit PhantomPDF doesn't support to open ePub documents since the plugin is not bundled into it. Foxit Reader has supported to open ePub documents since version 8.0 and till version 9.6.
Regarding PRC type 3D documents, it is not supported very well for now. But we have plan to support it and we've been working on it. Thank you.
