  • Runaway CPU anytime I start Foxit Reader

For the last few weeks, anytime Foxit Reader is running, it consumes pretty much one entire core of my CPU. I've attached an image from Process Explorer, showing that on my dual-core machine (Core 2 Duo), FoxIt Reader is using basically all of a single core. This is either with a PDF open or with no documents open.

    I'm running:

    FoxIt Reader: 6.2.2.0802
OS: Windows Vista SP2 (don't laugh - it's the newest that will run on this laptop)

Is this a known issue? Any ideas fro resolution?

    Hi Greg,

Please go to “Control Panel”->"Add/Remove Programs" to uninstall Cloud Reading and see if the CPU usage been released? Thank you.

Uninstalling "FoxIt Cloud", which later identified itself as "Cloud Reading" corrected the issue. The CPU usage is now normal when using FoxIt Reader. Thank you.
