Yes, that's correct, but my FireFox was out of date (version 10, I think). Another thread I found reported issues with the latest FireFox and Foxit 5.3, which encouraged me to report the Opera failure.

I had another unusual issue: inability to Hibernate or Shut down Windows. This also hasn't re-occurred after reverting to 5.1 and rebooting. It might not be connected, but I've never encountered it before on this machine.

Upgrade to Foxit 5.3 has stopped display of PDFs in Opera 11.62. This seems to be related to difficulties reported with FireFox; the plug-in is corrupting Opera's display of other plug-ins.

Reverting to Foxit 5.1 has fixed the problem.
