Foxit reader in web browser

When I open a PDF using Internet Explorer I was expecting the viewer to remain within the browser but instead the Foxit Reader program opens in a new window.

Can Foxit Reader be configured to remain embedded within the web browser?

Please open Foxit Reader->go under "File"->"Preferences"->"File Associations"->"Advanced"->check "Include browser when setting default viewer" and see if it helps. Thank you.

I don't know about IE, but with Firefox, I was getting only a blank page since installing the most recent update. The problem went away after I went to the Foxit Add-ons page and downloaded what seems to be an OLDER version of the plug-in.

After: 2.2.4.414 (April 2014)

If you get only a blank page with Foxit Reader 7.0.3/7.0.5/7.0.6, I would encourage you to try to un-associate and re-associate "Display PDF in Browser" as following step by step and see if it helps:
1) Please open Foxit Reader, then go under "File"->"Preferences"->"File Associations"->"Advanced", uncheck "Include browser when setting default PDF viewer" then click on "OK".
2) Under "File Associations", please click on "Restore File Associations";
3) Again, please go under "File"->"Preferences"->"File Associations"->"Advanced", check "Include browser when setting default PDF viewer"->"OK" then click on "Make Default PDF Viewer" as default PDF Reader.
