Foxit 4.3 still does not enable the collate button for my hp laserjet 2100 printer.

Attached are the computer and printer info files.

Let me know if there is anything you need to help get this working.

    Thanks, Ron

    Hi Ron,

Before I go further report this issue to Reader Testing team for further investigation, may I suggest you try with the .zip package of Foxit Reader 4.3 to help us identify if this issue occurs in specific version? Please download Foxit Reader4.3 from this link: http://cdn04.foxitsoftware.com/pub/f...der431_enu.zip
(The .zip package requres no installation, you can simply unzip it then double-click on Foxit Reader.exe to open and print)

Then please send us following info:
    1) How Foxit Reader 4.3 works for you;
    2) Your Computer info:

Please run it>click GetInfo>choose Save> send the saved TXT file
    3) Your Printer info:

Please Run it>click Select Printer>choose the printer which has this problem>copy all the info listed there to us.

If it is inconvenient to upload the info here, please send it to [email protected]

    cherry,
I used the control panel to uninstall and installed a newly downloaded foxit reader. After some testing I found that my local printer HP laserjet 2100 is the only one that foxit reader will not enable the collate button. I deleted and reinstalled the printer but no change. I looked through the properties and preferences of the printer but found nothing to change that would relate to collate. When printing more than 1 copy the pages don't collate so it is not like the printer is handling this. Adobe reader does enable the collate button for this printer so I don't know why foxit reader does not? Is there some setting in foxit reader that disables the collate button on some printers?
Thanks for all your help, Ron

    Hi rgtech,

Please go to Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs to uninstall your existing Foxit Reader then download a new installer from our website and give it a try: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/downloads/

I would like to try the suggestion of manually uninstalling. I searched the forum and found many entries suggesting this to others but still no mention of what foxit reader requires to manually uninstall. I greatly appreciate any suggestions but with out letting me know how to execute the suggestion it is pretty useless. So until then I am stuck with adobe reader since we require collate to get our work done.
    Thanks, Ron

The collate button should be active but it is not. That is the problem.

Can you point me to instructions for manually uninstalling? I am not sure what all needs to be done to manually uninstall the program.

    Thanks, Ron

    Thanks, Ron

started a topic Bug Collate button not working

    Collate button not working

I have foxit reader 5.1.4.0104 and the collate button remains greyed out. I have a multiple page document with ALL pages set to print. When I set copies to 2 or more the collate button remains greyed out. Is this a bug or is there some setting I need to change to get the collate button to be active?
    Thanks, Ron
