Every time Foxit Reader is updated, all my customizations (toolbar mode, skin, toolbar items) are lost and I have to reset them. In which file are they stored? I am thinking of making a copy of that file, and replace the new one created after the update with my copy with the customizations.

Hi emf,
Currently in Foxit Reader, update or re-install will retain the settings under "Preferences". Regarding toolbar, Reader only keeps the toolbar mode info(classic or Ribbon mode), it won't keep the specific toolbar settings (which icons to be shown or hidden).
If you're in Classic Toolbar mode, you may open registry editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader 7.0\Windows\Toolbars, and right-click the item "Toolbars", select Export. Then after you update to a new version, you could simply double-click on the exported registry file to import your previous toolbar setting to the new version.
If you're in Ribbon Toolbar mode, you may right-click on the blank area of the toolbar then click "Customize Quick Access Toolbar"->"Customize Ribbon"->"Export". Then after the update, you may go under "Customize Ribbon" tab->click on Import to import your toolbar setting.
If you're with Enterprise and need to customize the toolbar setting for many computers, we would encourage you to use GPO template or XML Editor to configure the toolbar settings. For more info, you may refer to Foxit Enterprise Deployment and Configuration: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/support/usermanuals.php

Hi, Cherry.
There is some problem with the forum software. This is my 3rd attempt to reply. I'll insert the quotes manually.

After the recent update, I did not observe any customizations retained. Are the Classic Toolbar and skin selections in the Preferences key of regedit?

I exported the Toolbars key. Thanks.

Hi, Cherry.
There is some problem with the forum software. This is my 5th attempt to reply. It seems it does not accept custom quotes so I omit them.

Hi, Cherry.
There is some problem with the forum software. I've made multiple attempts to post a reply. It says "Working" and then nothing! Ah, good old newsgroups!...I'll insert the quotes manually this time.

@emf,
The classic toolbar setting is stored in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader 7.0\Toolbars", so you may just export the whole Toolbars setting for your usage. Or you may just export the whole "Foxit Reader 7.0" folder then import it from the update.
