  • Feature No side by side mode or multi-monitor capabilities? Lame

Come on, not only is my monitor 16:9 (it's 2014) but I have two of them and the best Foxit Reader can do is a horizontal split in a single window? It won't even let me start two instances to work this around by placing two windows side by side. This is ridiculous.

    Hi Yegor,

Please open Foxit Reader->go under "File"->"Preferences"->"Documents"->check "Allow Multiple Instances". Then you could open the two PDFs you want to open and adjust them side by side.

Currently Foxit Reader's split view feature could help to split the view horizontally, but vertically is not yet supported. I've forwarded your comments to Reader PM team for processing so the vertical split view could be added in future versions. Suggestion ID#: READER-569.

I would like to provide some feedback on this topic. I have come a long way with PDF editors: Adobe Acrobat, Nitro Pro, PDF XChange. Foxit Phantom PDF is the best so far, maybe so much so that I can finally end my search for a PDF editor. The ONLY thing that I have encountered to date (about a month of use) which has bothered me is this shortcoming of not being able to two or more documents in one windowed instance of Foxit Phantom PDF. I hope to see this feature added in a future version.
