How Do I Permanently Disable Navigation Panel ?

I have an incredibly annoying issue with the nav panel popping out to the left everytime I open a PDF. I want it to completely disable it from popping out each time I open a PDF. Please let me know if theres a file I can edit to remove this annoyance. Thanks.

We are sorry that currently we are still unable to hide navigation panel permanently.However,this request has already been submitted as suggestion to our PM team for their feature reference,reported ID:PHANTOM-681, it may be considered in future major release.
For now, if you don't want the Navigation Panel, please go to View >Read Mode. In this mode, the panel will be turned off.
