Windows 8.1 Enterprise, with FoxitReader 7.1 still having this issue.
foxitreader.exe -register -undisplayadobeindoc is the halting command. GPO in place to set as default.GPO is tested and is applied to the client.
Deployed with SCCM. We can't go production with Foxit (wich is a great reader btw.) with this error looming :s
Could you please make screenshots that shows the problem and how to replicate it then paste them into Word and send to us so we could better know the problem you're experiencing?
This may not pertain to a batch install of Foxit, but I found this forum post searching for a problem that seems to present similar symptoms to some described here. I had the problem of a UAC (Windows User Account Control) dialog box appearing each time I tried to open a file with Foxit Reader 7.0.6.1126 on Windows 8.1.
I fixed it by changing my default program for PDF files to "Reader", then running Foxit, which prompted me to make Foxit my default PDF viewer. I unchecked "Always perform this check when starting Foxit Reader" and then clicked Yes. Since then no more UAC every time I open a PDF.
I think I had created the problem when I tried to associate PDFs with Foxit. They were associated with Reader, so I right-clicked on a PDF file, and selected "Open with", but Foxit was not listed, so I chose "Choose Default Program". This popped up a Metro "How do you want to open this file" window, but Foxit was not listed, so I clicked "More options". Foxit still was not listed, so I selected "Look for another app on this PC" at the bottom, then browsed to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader" and selected FoxitReader.exe. I think going this route to create the association is what started the every-time-UAC problem.
Probably I could have avoided the problem by running Foxit, clicking "File" in the ribbon, then Preferences, then in the File Associations section, and then, after unticking "Always perform check when starting Foxit Reader" (though this bit might not be needed), using the "Make Default PDF Viewer" button. Also, this might have been a simpler route to correct the problem once the problem had been created.

I have sent screens to support, but with no answer for two months, I have sort of given up hope.
How to replicate: Install Foxit Enterprise Reader on Windows 8.1. Start it. Then log in as another user and start it there.
I fail to see how you can't replicate an issue, that I can't avoid in any scenario?
Any update on this? I've deployed the latest version on a Windows 2012 R2 RDS server to test and the same issue is coming up. UAC prompts for "...\FoxitReader.exe" -register -undisplayadobeindoc when opening. All of the RDS users will be standard users.
It's a real show stopper so far.
@[email protected], please provide the ticket number so I could further check the processing of it. Thank you.
@cireb, I've reported this issue to Report ID#65495 for further analysis. Thank you.
I'm experiencing the same thing when running Foxit Reader 7.1.5.425 as a user. The UAC screen pops up, prompting about -register -undisplayadobeindoc.
We too are running on a 2012R2 server, fully patched with last months patches.
Is there any progress on this issue? It would make a whole lot of users very happy if this was resolved.

Could you please send a email to [email protected] with subject Att Richell and I will reply you with guide document of using gpo to deploy for your info?Thank you.
This issue was resolved by exporting the file associations to an XML file, running: dism /Online /Export-DefaultAppAssociations:\\FILESERVER\SHARE\AppAssoc .xml
from the 2012 RDS server. Then create a GPO using "Set a default associations configuration file" pointing to the exported file.
