Sooo... the problem was reported in 2015, someone answered that the request was submitted in 2017, we are in 2019 now and I still have the same problem...
Was there any real update of the software that doesn't work on my computer or nothing has been done?
Does anybody have any tips to finally set up our own default highlight colors?
Or do you know any other software that would let us do it?
Thanks a lot in advance for your answers.

Actually we've been considering about this feature. I've added your comments as new feature request to PHANTOM-2859 for PM engineer's further processing. Hopefully we'll add this feature soon. Thank you.

        Hi ValeriE,

In Foxit Reader 7.0.6 change your highlight color is pretty simple just you add color change icon in your quick lunch bar.

To do this you have to follow these steps:
        1. click "Customize Quick Access Toolbar".
        2. In the box, You have to choose "Comment Format".
        3. Then Add "Line Color".
        4. Then click "OK".

After that, you will see the option of a color change in your Quick Access toolbar

        Hope this method helps you.

When reading a text, I usually markup with some colors in a paragraph. In order to change/choose a color, I have to move the cursor to the palette, so if there anyway that we can assign directly some shortcuts to specific colors of the highlighter, for example alt+1 = yellow, alt+2 = green....I think these shorcuts would be pretty quick and productive for readers.

Line Color doesn't work for me. When I click the icon, nothing happens. I'm using Foxit Reader 9.6.0.25113 and haven't updated because there's No Dark Mode or Skins in PDF Reader 11. Does it work in your current version?

LAPIII ,You said that you are using Foxit Reader 9.6 version. In version 9.6, please refer to the attached document to know how to add the line color into the quick access toolbar as Afflospark has done.
