Is there a setting that will allow me to use continuous scrolling when viewing a document in Foxit Reader? This business of only jumping a page at a time is very annoying.
Please go to Tools->Preferences->Page Display, choose Continuous as the Default page layout, then go to Tools->Preferences->History, uncheck "Restore last view settings when reopening".
Thanks for the info. The screen still doesn't move while the scroll bar is being moved but I guess that is just the way it is. It is certainly better now than it was.
This is a new 'feature'. At least in my experience with Foxit Reader. To enable incremental scrolling, click on the 'View' tab, select 'AutoScroll' and then de-select it. You will then be able to scroll incrementally again. Unfortunately, you have to do this every time you load Foxit Reader.
This made no change for me (Reader 8.1.1.1115).
I had to pull down the View menu and select Page Display=Continuous before any change took effect.
I've had Continuous selected in Tools->Preferences->Page Display forever and it made no difference.
Have you unchecked "Restore last view settings when reopening" under "Tools->Preferences->History" as well when you set Continuous as the Default page layout?
BTW, the most current version of Foxit Reader is version 8.3.1. You may update to it at your convenience. Thank you.
I have Foxit Reader version 8.3.1.21155 installed, and continuous page display still does not work.
As already reported by Redbird14 more than 3 years ago, to enable continuous scrolling, it is still necessary to briefly activate View|Autoscroll and then deactivate it again... And this has to be repeated every time the document has been loaded.
