  • Why does it auto switch to "select annotation"?

When I click on a COMMENT tool, whether it is Highlight or Line or whatever, after I make 1 comment, the program automatically switches the selection to "select annotation".

I would like to keep the Highlight tool selected for multiple comments.

Does anyone have a settings fix for this?

I haven't had this issue before today.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi thparadox,

Please check which version of Foxit Reader you're having and provide the step-by-step instruction about how to replicate the mentioned problem.
BTW, to check the version info, you may open Foxit Reader->go under "Help"->"About Foxit Reader". Thank you.

      Version 6.2.2.0802

      1. Click on "Highlight" button in COMMENT ribbon
      2. Scroll over a word and left-click + drag to Highlight it.
      3. Release left click
      4. *** Foxit automatically switches the selection from "Highlight" tool to "Select Annotation" tool

I expected the Highlight tool to stay selected for multiple highlights until I switch out of it manually.

      Thanks!

Thanks, but nevermind. I uninstalled, and installed the newest version. It's working now
