With tabs minimized, the find box also can be focused when you hit Ctrl+F.

This is the key part, which I didn't know and so didn't mention before: it's only a problem if you hit Ctrl-F with the tabs minimized, which is the way I always have the tabs because the toolbar is so massive. You're right that if it's expanded, the focus is put in the find box as expected.

Under Tabbed mode, you also can hit Ctrl+F, then the cursor will be focused on the find box so you could enter text you want to search.Would you mind reinstalling it and give it a try?
Any result, please let me know, thank you.

Tabbed toolbar mode: Ctrl-F doesn't put cursor focus in Find box
Classic toolbar mode always helpfully puts the cursor in the Find box so that you can start typing and hit Enter just as soon as you get into Ctrl-F. Tabbed toolbar mode doesn't, however. Could it? This might be a bug, I'm not sure. 5.3.1.0606 in Windows.
