I can't get any fzip files to open and windows 7 won't even recognize that foxit reader is installed when I go to set the default program to open these. "Install Updates" tells me to "create an association in the Default Control Panel", but that doesn't list Foxit reader.

Hi Boradryn,
May I know which .fzip file have you downloaded? Normally you can install it by opening 'Foxit Reader'->'Help'->'Install updates..'. If to set Foxit Reader as your default program, you can open it->go to 'Help'->click on 'Set to Default PDF Reader'.

Hi Boradryn,
In this case, may I encourage you uninstall your existing Foxit Reader from Control Panel then re-install Foxit Reader? You can download the latest Foxit Reader installer from this link: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/downloads/
(Btw, the imageDecoder add-on has been embeded into the installation of Foxit Reader 5.3, so if you re-install the latest Foxit Reader, you won't need to perform extra installation of the imagedecoder add-on.)

The Install updates feature does not work for me - windows 7 latest Foxit reader download.
I downloaded the java script component and also tried the check for updates option - both failed
For the fzip it gives me the message no program associated with the file to open it. I have associate the FZip extension to the updater but this does not work.
I reinstalled the software several times to see if that was an issue / even loading in different directories.
I copied the fzip file to the directory with the foxit exe's - no luck
I tried associating it to foxit reader - no luck
I downloaded another file (spellcheck) - no luck
