Is it possible to open the same document in two tabs?

Dear people,

I have found a way to open multiple instances of the same PDF in different tabs:
1. open the desired PDF.
2. Go to File
3. Under 'recent documents', right-click on the PDF and select 'Open a copy'.

A copy of the PDF should now have opened in a different tab.

I too would love to see this feature! I frequently work with documents where a particular subject matter is referenced in several different areas of the same document and being able to have a tab for each area would be tremendously helpful. Having to open numerous instances of Foxit instead just leaves them all stacked on top of each other on the taskbar, like back in the days before tabbed browsing where you just had to have dozens of instances of IE all running at the same time. Then Firefox introduced tabs and suddenly the whole world changed in internet browsing because it allowed the user to view their tabs at a glance to quickly switch back and forth. I wish that same ease of use existed in Foxit.

Would be a nice feature if that was possible, just like you can show different pages from the same site in your browser...

As a workaround you can extract a PDF page, whereby it will be available in another tab.

Would be nice if Foxit updated with this feature, but they are kind of slow at responding to user request, so that probably wont happen.

It is no way to open the same file in two tabs within one instance, but you can open it with two instances.Before doing that, please go to Tools->Preferences->Documents->check "Allow Multiples Instances"

How do I open the same PDF file twice, like Window -> New Window in Adobe Reader? I don't want a split view, I want two separate tabs for the same document.
