  • Bug Will Not Print

    After many years (and versions) of use, suddenly Foxit Reader will not print. It begins to spool, then simply stops. I just installed the "other" PDF reader and the same file printed just fine. It's a text only document.

    Window 7 64bit Enterprise Edition
    Foxit Reader (installed from foxitreader543.0920_enu_setup.exe)
    Kodak Hero 5.1 printer (driver version 7.6.11 - current version) printing via wifi

    There are no errors, the windows print spooler runs normally, then the Kodak spooler, but no data gets handed over to the Kodak spooler. Again, Adobe PDF reader (sorry) and all other apps print without error in this configuration.

    Any recommendation are appreciated, I really want to get Adobe off my system.

    I just tested this on my 2nd computer (again Windows 7 64bit Enterprise Edition) with exactly the same results. Hardware on the 2 computers is completely different (Dell V160 processor laptop vs Athlon 64 X2 processor based desktop), but the results from Foxit Reader are identical.

      1.Your OS information,please download the tool below:

      Please run it>click GetInfo>choose Save> send the saved TXT file to us.
      2.Did this issue happen to all PDF files or just some specific files?Please send us one PDF file sample in which the issue occurred.
      3.What was the message you get when you try to print PDF file with foxit reader?Please take a screenshot about the message for us.
      4.If what you got was crash error message when you tried to print PDF file,please help to find the crashlog.txt file under your foxit reader main installation folder,by default the folder is:
      "C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader\"
      5.Your printer information,please download the tool below:

      Please run it>click GetInfo>choose Save> send the saved TXT file to us.
      6.Is it a network printer? If so,please help to describe its working environment for us.
