Please open your Foxit Reader->go to 'File'->'Preferences'->'Documents'->uncheck 'Allow Multiple Instances' and give it a try.

I am having a similar problem, which started with the latest update to 6.0.3.0524. Opening multiple PDF documents used to open separate tabs in the same window. Now when I do it, it opens separate windows for each document. I prefer the former. Any suggestions? In options I already have selected "normal" to open the document.

Please open your Reader->go to 'Edit'->'Preferences'->'Documents'->change 'In Foxit Reader, please choose the mode for displaying PDF file' to 'Normal'.

Sure. The button I'm referring to has a tool-tip saying: View file in Read Mode.

What I'd like is to set Foxit Reader to automatically come up with document tabs (see below) instead of constantly having to hunt for the button and then move to a previously loaded document.

Is it possible to have Foxit Reader always show the multiple document tabs by default instead of having to click double arrow button in the upper right? I want to see a tab for each doc at all times.
