  • Feedback PDF files are open very slowly (Acrobat opens faster)

    Hello,

we use on our terminalserver the newest version of foxit reader. Now we get some bad informations from our users that the foxt reader opens pdf files really slow.
We checked this and its true. After a complete reboot of a terminalserver and a test wie acrobat reader X and foxit reader - the foxit reader needs about 10 seconds to open a 130KB pdf file, the acrobat reader x 1-2 seconds.

Is the foxit reader really thats slow against the acrobat reader? Is there any thing i can change to boost up the foxit reader?

    Cheers

    Hi oeckbert,

Could you please send us the mentioned PDF document for testing? Pleas also indicate the CPU usage when you try to open the document with two different Reader.
If it is inconvenient to upload the file here, you may email it directly to [email protected].

I have never used this Foxit PDF reader because I have been using acrobat reader since long time which gives me the better flexibility to open PDF files in any condition in a faster way. Generally the speed of opening a document always depends on your file content or size, if your file size is large and with graphics then it will take some more time to open which is fact. But normally it can be open faster.
