Bug Foxit Reader can't connect to the default mail client

I have to run Foxit Reader as an adminstrator under Windows 7 due to legacy print driver issues (same problem with Adober Reader). In adminstrator mode, every time I click the email PDF button the program displays an error "Foxit Reader can't connect to the default mail client". When I run Foxit normally, the email option works as expected but then the system hangs when printing for several minutes. I print way more than I mail so ?I made the defult to open as adminstrator. Any way to fix this so the email option works when I run Foxit as an adminstrator?

Running
Foxit Reader 5.4.5.0124 (run as administrator)
Win 7 SP1
MS Outlook 2010 (14.0.6025.1000) SP1
